    d--- lol, to most people the cohesiveness (what u referred to as "all the songs sounding the same') is what makes SS2 the better project of the two. ss1 allows for more standouts for sure.

    but id say try to put ss2 on shuffle or something..pick out specific songs like "flaws" or "mind right" or "raw," "my baby," "thief in the night" etc...and im sure they will start to grow on you more.
