    Yeah brother we are still together. Going on 14 years now. No marriage because I haven't asked. She wants it and has for quite sometime but I don't like anything about it for a couple of reasons. 1. I don't want to fix something that isn't broken. 2. I don't want to start something that invites the government into our relationship and potentially needs to end with attorneys. 3. Once we are married I suspect the chase is officially over for her. Then what? I don't know man maybe I've read too many Rober Greene books but I would have a bad feeling. We've lived together for 13 years so we practically are married it's just a formality at this point.


    And please don't call her my Kim Mathers. We are not trailer trash and have never had so much as a "break" let alone and on again, off again relationship. She isn't a crackhead and I'm not a simp who follows her to clubs(I don't think I've ever even gone through her phone, emails, ect)

    My mom has told me before that she's fine with whoever I date, "as long as it's not a man."

    Parents want to be close with their kids. So I can't understand why they ever give their kids reasons like this to keep part of who they are from them. They don't want to know what their kids are really like? I'm not gay, but all I could think about was how crushing that would have been to hear if I were.

    My mom is a sweetheart. The last thing she'd ever want to do would be to hurt her kid. And yet she said that. And parents say s--- like that to their kids every day, forcing them into the closet and driving them to all sorts of dark places.

    Good for you coming out like that. I'm not sure I'd be able to come out to my mom. I'd be interested in knowing how things are with you and your mom once she's processed it.

    I told this story in another awkward thread but it's a pretty great awkward story. I was 19 or 20 and home from college break. I waited tables at a chain restaurant in Jersey and would pick up shifts during my break. When I got back from winter break, which is about a month, I noticed a cute little spanish girl was working there. So I started flirting with her and would pick up shifts and get the person who made shifts to get her to close with me. She didn't have a license so I offered to drive her home all the time. So this went on for a few weeks and finally it was my last shift before going back to school. I could tell she was feeling me but I was a little p----. So I decided since it would be the last time I drove her home I'd make my move. I pull up in front of her house and we say bye and we'll stay in touch blah blah....so this is my chance to go for a kiss. As I'm going in for the kiss I b---- out and try to turn it into a hug. The awkward motion change of my body makes the seat belt catch. From this unforeseen tension my arm jerks and my hand lands straight on her breast. I'm not sure how long it stayed there but it felt like I looked at where my hand was and her face at least 5 times in slow motion to make sure it was real life. We actually wound up going out for awhile.

    Moral of the story: always go for the tittys

    I'm guessing, given your age and when you met, this is your first serious relationship.

    It's probably the last thing you want to hear, but it'll get better with time. It sucks when you get blindsided like that, and if you've got light skin tendencies you start jumping to conclusions right away. But don't. Unless she's worth chasing, you need to take the first few steps in moving on. And as hard as it seems, don't dwell on the "whys" or "whats", just know none of it will matter in the scheme of things.

    The best advice I can give you is that you need to try to be productive with your time. Like @Packman said, immerse yourself in the things you love. The absolute worst thing you can do right now is start blazing and playing video games - start a project, do something, and make it a point to accomplish something 30 days from now.

    Worry about yourself, f--- her. Oh wait, you already did. :dkk: She won't matter in the scheme of things, just remember that and don't let the breakup define you.
