Also the reason the beat was the way it was for Bad Guy is because the sounds (beep boop beep boop beep boop)are what you hear when car doors or trunk doors are open

Bad Guy beat sounds like the squeaking noise from shoes on a basketball court.

    Great song tho.

    Holy f---....

    1. Relapse is not a concept album. Liquid Swords or Black Trash are concept albums. Most of Relapse is him rambling about serial killing or using forced shock value with a random Arabic accent. Nothing about the album is cohesive AT ALL except a few songs sprinkled in.

I will say, the one song, that was a complete miss, that showed any balls was Insane.

I could give a f--- about the fact that it won a Grammy. Macklemore won a Grammy over Kendrick, so lmao @ that example.

I swear most of the posters on this site haven't got a clue to what a concept album is. Just because he raps sometimes about serial killing with a s-----y Arabic accent doesn't make it a concept album.

    2. Headlights' flow is off. He is not flowing well to the beat. He has a stop and go flow throughout the entire song and forced emotion at the end of his bars. He speeds up his flow at random parts, then slows it down, rather than having RHYTHM or consistency. Listen to Cleaning Out My Closet THEN Headlights and you'll see what I'm talking about. Or are you going to come up with some flimsy argument to support your lack of facts again?

    3. f---ing Christ... Yes, that toilet line was so f---ing intricate that it went WAY over my head.

God, it's an awful line, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself it has a deeper meaning. It sets the tone for the verse, although it's still an impressive verse (which I already said). He could've just left the line out of the song and it wouldn't have had a s-----y (no pun intended) line at all in the song. But, leave it to Eminem to try to put in corny punchlines or puns....Is this the type of standard that you have while listening to music?

You're probably the type who would defend the s-----y puns in Not Afraid too.

By the way, I'm not a Young Thug fan, so I don't understand why you brought him up.

Relapse was a concept album. It was him fighting his conscience and dealing with the want to relapse.

And the toilet pun again was not bad. The reason that he put it there made sense. Think about the entire verse and not the one line.

Relapse was not a concept album. Calling it a concept album is people's way of defending it when they realised it wasn't received well.

LOL @ Bad Guy being better than Stan. And a verse can't save a song from not competing with another one. Do you know how important Stan is to the hip-hop culture as a whole? These farces k--- me.

Pretty cool that the beat for So Much Better is an altered version of Criminal.

Also this line in So Much Better is classic Eminem:

'And il never say the L word again, I Luh-Luh-Luh.. LESBIAN!!'

:empalm: , Your bias as to how something should or shouldn't sound doesn't change what it is. It's a concept album, the concept being about the character slim shady, whereas after the actual relapse, the character slim shady kept on doing drugs and developed (more of) a psychopathic personality. The intention of the accent was to highlight that this was all character, but at the same time he wanted it to be fresh and different from SSlp in it's own right.

No, it's not a concept album because he raps like that, rather, he raps like that because it's a concept album.
:empalm: No, you f---ing idiot, again, it's a change of style, he intentionally manipulates the speed at certain points to maintain the rhyme scheme consistency, because some lines have more words than others. Every f---ing rapper does this at some point. He just uses this type of flow throughout the song. Again, your opinion of the style has nothing to do with the execution.
Why would i need to convince myself, "Talking s---", "Backing it up", the meaning falls into place immediately, and it ties in with the song, so it isn't random. What makes it a bad pun? Tell me what is objectively bad about the line.
No, the first 3 words does that ( "I also represent"). I don't think you understand what tone means, that, or your mind is just a little too closed minded or immature to get over the fact that he said 'toilet' .
:empalm: The punchlines in not afraid were random and one dimensional, 'Bad guy' was following a NARRATIVE and the punchline was used in context.
Seriously, in a conceptual narrative driven song like 'Bad Guy', that lasted 7 min's you judge the entire song based off one 5 second long punchline that you thought sounded 'corny'?

    Nice recycled SL line

Beat reminds me of someone driving with one of those crates in the back with s--- rattling in it
So I always thought it was cool since I've always pictured Mathew driving to Eminem for the first two verses

And whoever said relapse was a concept album is dumb Just because most of the songs have themes to it doesn't make the entire album a concept album
