Influence and trust go hand in hand. An artist that isn't relatable or trustworthy when you hear their music isn't going to have influence over you. There's no specific equation to being the most influential, but I bet if you mix the hard work you put into your craft with honesty, the influence will come.Ordinary Joel, Allis Mines and Flacko like this. -

In judging an artists overall legacy. If an artist has an incredible discography but little signs of major influence, is that a stain or their legacy. Or does it not matter too much. Does the quality of their influence matter? For example if the artists that they directly influenced make music that is not regarded highly but is still popular, does that have an effect on their ranking.
