    Seriously though, I see what you mean.

    I think he doesn't know what love looks like. Took his cues from a dominant homophobic culture when he was growing up, so no h---. Inappropriately emotionally-clingy mother, so all women are evil. Damaged first girlfriend, so all women will hurt him. blah blah blah blah blah ad nauseam

    Then too scared of the real world to figure out where he got it wrong, so ivory tower. And now, ironically, surrounds himself most closely with the most untrustworthy bottom-feeding parasites possible, who exploit and isolate him for their own benefit

    He doesn't know what the f--- he's doing.
