    Daddy used to listen to whole lot hip hop. He still listens but mainstream hip hop is not that "inappropriate" like it used to be. My dad used to listen to Shady Records when they were in their primes. (Eminem, 50 Cent etc. )
    Mom doesn't understand the most of it anyway.

    Mom loves Eminem, Atmosphere, Brother Ali, and a few small local acts around here I know.

    Also she likes some Ice Cube and Ice-T but thats about it.

    Dad hated it. Said it wasnt "music" It's whatever he grew up in the 60s and 70s loving Elvis, Frank Sinatra and classic rock like Beatles, Led Zeppelin etc.

    My Dad had the Ice Cube jerhi curl with the raiders jacket during his senior year of high school.
    He loves Hip Hop. Loves the current landscape as well.
    He f---s with Drake heavy, cause he was a big LL fan back in the day. Plus he's Canadian.

    My Mom very much dislikes it. Always has. She's a little more open minded to it now, since it is my career choice and all. When I was a kid though, I was straight up not allowed to listen. She hates the f--- out of Eminem. Wouldn't even give headlights a chance, lmao.

    Side Note: My Dad used to low-key let me listen to whatever the f--- I wanted in his truck, without my moms knowledge.

    Typical answer is no I'd imagine. My mother doesn't really like rap at all, but recently my dad told me how much he's enjoying d---, & I'm determined to get him into more Kendrick and eventually other modern rap artists. He does enjoy classic Dre, Snoop & whatnot lol.

    Religion has a big influence on my parents tbh, being muslim I find it hard to convince my parents to listen to rap (Lupe Hurt Me Soul sums this up basically) . My mum wants to listen to her own music when shes in the car desperately but when she isn't and dad is driving he doesn't mind me putting The Love Below or Late Registration for example. My mum did like Diamonds from Sierra Leone remix though because of the Chirley Bassey sample (nostalgia)

    my dad used to like rap and wanted to be a rapper (his most popular line being "look at that monkey in that tree") but then he went to the store and came back and found his black friend f---ing his girlfriend so hes been racist for the last 35 years, but he still does like eminem and tells me that "this is the rap i like!" which is cool

    whenever i play black rappers though he gets very f---ing irritated and sometimes he even hears white rappers and assumes theyre black because theyre "rapping fast" and then i tell him theyre white and hes like "what??" lmao, it happened with rittz a few years back (literally had a song called "white rapper" on the album)

    my mom bears whatever i listen to and she remembers some of the lyrics and sings some choruses but i dont know if her heart is in it lol

    my dad is a huge rihanna fan lol therefore he loves her collaborations with jay and Em, i've also heard sometimes when he listens to Not afraid and The way i am. My mom has Going through changes, sing for the moment, stan and without me on her playlist.
