May 21, 2016 I am a christian and you might know that there is a old rule to not having a sexual relationship befor being married. I had today a teaching in my church about it and it really made me sad and tired because yesterday i was a party and did the dj thing had many girls around me but i didnt do anything with them because of this rule. I thought i could find a clue to live like the modern society but since i put God before everything i can't. (sometimes i feel being imprisonned and sometimes so happy that i could die of happiness) So living like that i never had a girlfriend got in depression because of it at the age of 10 that sounds crazy but i happend being 18 now that feeling might come back because have this mad urge to have a girlfriend. For some reason i feel extremly uneasy in presence of girls that have a boyfriend. So i can't find an answer it might be i either give my beliefs to give in or i just wait there might be another anwser but i dont want to wait anymore because right now i feel so much love for women and yes i feel LOVE and not only sexual desire i want to love someone... It could also be that because i am a bad person or not attractive or just not mature enough but i know that actually one girl on a schooltrip came in my room and tried to get laid with me... but since i put my beliefs before the flesh i just couldnt give in ... Man i regret it.. I need help

But Somehow this gets out of hand and the church becames a girl hitting place... Best suggestion was to find someone with the same beliefs the same suggestion i also got from church but since most of the girls i like or liked dont go to church it's hard to find someone.

If your religion is depressing you that's not a very good thing. If you are honestly not happy with your religion maybe you should just give it up and pursue love. Up 2 u.

May 22, 2016 You don't have to follow the bible by word, it was written 2000 years ago with the moral values people had back then. They obviously changed now, and most Christians adapted with society. You have to respect the essential messages of your religion (forgiveness, Christian charity etc. ) but you don't have to follow the little rules because they don't make sense anymore today.

May 23, 2016 I would start asking some critical questions about that rule. The Bible was written by men, and it's been interpreted, reinterpreted, translated and mistranslated for centuries. I think your faith should evolve with your reason, and if it's important to you, you should live according to your best interpretation of what's there. If that turns out to be no sex before marriage, fine. But maybe look at the forces over history that have brought that rule into Christianity. It doesn't all come from God. History and humans have made a mess of what's in that book.
