Jun 27, 2016 Can't tell if troll or not..... Lol if not, it stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual (&) Transgender community.
Jun 27, 2016 I seriously didn't know the abbreviation lol. But dunno why it's a question, they are all people why label them?
Jun 27, 2016 It's amazing when you think just how homophobic America was in the decades prior to this one. I don't think people understand that John Kerry was the overwhelming pro-gay candidate in 2004... he wasn't even for gay marriage... he just wasn't for Bush's 28th Amendment (FMA)... which would have ratified the US Constitution making it against the Constitution for gays to get married. "Don't Ask Don't Tell" seems like a draconian law against gays... 20 years ago it was a hard fought win for Liberals against Conservatives who thought h----------s didn't deserve to die for their country even if they stayed in the closet. The most popular songs in the club were eminem and DMX rapping about how they were going to k--- "fa----s." Mathew Shepard's torturers and killers thought they were going to get a slap on the wrist because they killed a guy dude in Wyoming. If a gay person was magically transported from 2004 to now they would think it was 100 years in the future instead of 12 to see all this tolerance.
Jun 27, 2016 Wasn't Eminem rapping about gerbils in his a--- by 2004? Eminem paved the way for the LGBT movement
Jun 27, 2016 Do whatever you want in life, as long as you're not obnoxious about it. Applies to everything
Jun 27, 2016 Yeah that's the part I personally I don't get. To me there is no difference, we're all people. People who hate others because they're black/gay/tranny etc are morons but imo the same goes for those who are and feel special or different.
Jun 27, 2016 i mean yeah clearly we're all people but it's sort of a thing to use to stand united in the face of those people who don't feel we're equal and push for equality i don't agree with it all being used just to feel special (not that some people don't), it's also a community thing
Jun 27, 2016 its what I did say, lol. its not just mma or boxing, it would include pretty much any contact sport.
Jun 27, 2016 But if all those people get together and have 'parades' etc doesn't that seperate them from others as well? I don't try to offend anyone btw it just seems weird to me.. some want to be seen equal, then why do they do weird stuff which makes people see them differently
Jun 27, 2016 Equal doesn't necessarily mean the same kind of people really. And it's like I said, it's a bit about the community. The gay community is huge and it's a prevalent thing for a lot of reasons, it's something for us to take comfort in when the world is s-----y towards us. It's a place of support and acceptence
Jun 27, 2016 Fair enough. I do lnow some people who are gay and they agreed with me when I gave my opinion. They said they felt no different than anyone else except the fact that they are into the same gender. They hate gay parades, live their live just as any other and think those things are what make people find gay people weird. Maybe in the US it's different or just different opinions I guess
Jun 27, 2016 From the outside in, you americans seem very tolerant and supportive about it. My country has no trannies. And the Gay Men in my country have been chased out of thier homes and communities. In the city they live on the street, and most of them have taken up guns to defend themselves against the society that despises them. The roots of this hatred ofc is religious, being the 'most christian country' in the world. And 'Rasta' influenced value systems are even less kind. The common terminology for them here is 'Battybwoy/man' ("assfucker"). As for lesbian women, they exist , but i guess passing of as bi is alot easier for a woman in the 'hype' scene. In highschool's a ridiculously large amount of girls (that i know at least) have ben in some relationship with another womam at some point in those 5 years. In fact, every highschool girl i ever asked (alot) told me that they all have at some point felt feelings towards the same gender (that they restrain). Makes me wonder if women are bi naturally.
