Travis Scott is more of a DJ than anything. it's like you go to the clubs and the travis joint comes on ur like "this is cool" but it's not ike the whole club got their arms up singing along word for word - cus they dont care about travis or what hes saying, just that his songs have a certain sound.

you would 100% likely never hear "I want to listen to travis scotts rapping" but instead "I want to hear that travis scott song"

Dude may as well be the Calvin Harris or dead mouse of rap. you dont know the guy or give a f--- about him, but if there song plays when your drunk your gonna enjoy yourself.

Now, the part i don't understand, is why people online talka bout this guy like he's some sorta prophet, it's not even fanboying it's just random r-----ed s--- and it's been going on since this site opened and @Maxo Bin Laden started stanning travis. i told skip "look m8, give it a year, two, maybe three, youll give 0 s----s about him" and if you take a look, @Maxo Bin Laden went from posting about Travis daily, to ABSOLUTELY NEVER. so next time i predict the future f---ing listen u c----

Don't feel like reading thru 8 pages of irrational stanning so I'll put this tidbit I wrote last night here and if any Travis fan has a proper rebuttal feel free to argue

"They're (referring to DBR and R) two subjectively enjoyable psuedo-trap projects carried by travis' large suite of all-star producers and feature artists. With the exception of a handful of songs, travis' input is only interesting when he's A-blatantly biting other, more innovative artists (Sremm on Antidote, Q on Ok Alright, Starrah on PUTTP) or B-harmonizing with the beat in a flat tone that falls somewhere between poor Tory Lanez karaoke and middling Kid Cudi karaoke drowned in vocal effects(Skyfall, Company). A large part of why Birds is (rightly) considered inferior is because the beats are less atmospheric and Travis isn't able to just moan into a microphone and let Mike Dean clean it up to sound nice, and instead of trying to play catch-up with his features via imitation (The Game-style) he actually uses his own melodies and structures independent of the feature (like on The Ends or Outside). The problem with that is that it shows how painfully bland his writing and flows are when he isn't directly copying.

Now personally I love Travis' (stolen hodge-podge of) sound(s), La Flame was one of the first "trap" artists (I know he's not truly trap but he borrows enough elements for me to consider him as such when I was an entry level listener) I got into back in '13 with Owl Pharaoh, and his collabs w Thugga, Migos, etc are the reasons I branched out and gave those artists a chance. I have at least 50+ unreleased tracks (most of which are readily available online, I'm not trying to flex w that statement). I went to the (first) Rodeo show at the House of Blues in downtown Houston and it was one of the greatest nights of my life, but despite all that I can put my personal bias aside and see Travis for the hack he is, his contributions are almost exclusively style-over-substance affairs in which the style is stolen and the substance is non-existent.

People who see Travis as anywhere near Thug's level or anywhere close to any level of modern rap hierarchy are either ppl who are new to rap and don't know better than to attribute Travis' flagrant thefts as innovation (speaking from prior personal experience and experience w the "Travis stan" stereotype you can see here and on any rap discussion forum) or ppl who don't fundamentally understand the ways his contemporaries innovate and excel."

and this thread we currently posting in? the point is, i said travis is kinda over rated/is a flash in the pan/gets old kinda quick and you guys are all quoting me trying to convert me to a fan (?) or saying "nah thats completely ok, because..." and you guys are just circlejerking that "haha he bites" s--- anyway.
like it doesn't even matter, go listen to your travis, in 3 years you wont give a s--- about him. ask @Maxo Bin Laden, had the same convo with him multiple times like 2 years ago.

There wasn't a sxn i don't think. pre sure these travis fans found a way to post in the travis section,or their threads would say they were posted in the travis section. so soldier deleted them, then moved them to music now this thread
