Dec 26, 2015 A lot of people will say Thriller but IMO Michael reached his artistically peak with Bad. For real almost everything on this Album was flawless. Quincy Jones final Album as Michael exec. Producer shows once again why he was so d--- good. The Production on this Album is so dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn good and much better than on Thriller( also produced by Jones), Dangerous...... His classic Singles like Man in the Mirroe, Bad, Smooth Criminal, The Way You Make Me Feel & Dirty Diana are on Bad as well. So thats just my Opinion, whats urs?
Dec 26, 2015 Off The Wall for me personally. It's just that d--- infectious groove man! I really like the second disc of HIStory as well btw.
Dec 26, 2015 Imo Dangerous had too much filler material and I personally didnt like this new jack swing style which is all over the album.
Dec 26, 2015 Dangerous was Michael's peak. My favorite and brilliant album. Thriller is overrated imo.
Dec 26, 2015 1. Dangerous 2. Bad 3. Thriller 4. Off The Wall 5. HIStory 6. Invincible 7. Xscape 8. Michael (Trash)
Dec 26, 2015 Totally agree with this. I think Michael had a couple different periods that could be described as "his prime," depending on what type of style you like from him. Thriller is definitely one of those periods, and he was coming into his own writing songs like WBSS, Beat It, Billie Jean... but the Bad era was when he really took control of the creative direction. Save for Just Good Friends and Man in the Mirror, that whole album was his creation. Look at the track list: it's 8 or 9 of his biggest hits ever. Then you take into account all the iconic short films, the tour... the routines he was coming up with during that time. You could argue all that was external to the album (we're talking about the songs), but I think that's a really limiting way to think about what he did. Bad was a vision and the music was just a part of it.
Dec 26, 2015 Thriller is incredible, but it overshadows everything else and I think that's partly because people think he was the most "normal" then, coupled with the overwhelming success of the album. His later stuff was absolutely his most creative. Thriller is just easiest to love.
Dec 26, 2015 Bruh it's not even Michael's voice on three of the songs. Abel Tesfaye's industry audition tbh
Dec 26, 2015 michael actually wanted Bad to be a triple album, but Quincy prevented that. Songs like "Streetwalker", "Don't Be Messing Round", and "Price Of Fame" were all songs Michael wanted, but Quincy prevented. I give Xscape a pass, because it was respectful to Michael. The Michael album was an abomination.
Dec 26, 2015 Thriller is still a great album, but he got Alot better with Bad and Dangerous. I know some people loved Off The Wall, but I find it to be pretty boring aside from Don't Stop Till you get enough. HIStory was like if Eminem could sing, he was angry and pissed on there, and nothing was really upbeat.
