May 11, 2026 The Punisher Special comes out today! Reviews are now out. With most saying it don’t hold back and is as bloody violent as his Netflix series! The 45 minute special focuses on mental health, as Frank goes on a final crusade murdering guys. Praise for Bernthal acting. Critic is it’s pretty much what you expect from punisher that we have seen before
May 12, 2026 Director and Bernthal says they want a MCU punisher movie one day. As cool as that could be I don’t see it happening anytime soon, especially since the last 2 punisher movies were bombs and flops. And right now marvel is focused on trying to get thier box office back up by only making sure fire hits for the next 2+ years. Same reason I don’t think we are getting that rumor Charlie cox daredevil movie. If his show is consistently the least watch marvel thing, I don’t see marvel hauling out $100M to make a movie. And marvel studios isn’t putting out a low budget movie. Disney won’t let that happen. They care too much about money. Lol I think the most likely thing to happen with punisher after brand new day is him popping up in a thunderbolts/ dark avengers project or in Deadpool 4 if they are going the x-force black ops style team up movie route.

May 12, 2026 Punisher special was what you expect. Insane action and gore! But also pretty much the same retread of his Netflix series. Nothing really new. I like how contained but alive the city was shot. Felt very much like the streets of Chicago more than New York tho. It’s good for the action, and I’m sure I will be rewatching just for those parts. The rest of the story was eh.
