May 18, 2026 at 6:01 AM It seems that way, but to be honest when I was in my teens we had way more teams than there are now, it seems like the expense of hockey is starting to dwindle down the #s. I remember as a kid id need new skates every year or two, cost for those alone was like 2-300 dollars and that was back in the 2000s. Not to mention hockey pants, knee pads, elbow pads all that other s--- you grow out of as you grow. Being old is better cause you dont need new gear all the time
