He never really had any progression, and his flow is already monotonous. Once he dropped Issa, it was all boring from then on.

I see where you’re coming from. He is usually very monotone and it doesn’t work for everyone. Even for the people it does work for, it doesn’t work in every circumstance. I feel like he did progress though with i am > i was as he began being a bit more introspective and started to move away from the dark trap sound in favor of soul samples. Then SAVAGE MODE II was a return to trap but he basically perfected his style with that album to have it at its most crisp form with Metro Boomin on production along with better rhyme schemes overall that weren’t as basic. He hit his peak with that album and ever since then it hasn’t been the same to me.

@Marsh i feel like GNX is gonna have more longevity then iceman. The songs are already starting to feel dated. I been hearing it from my homies too. 2 months from now I legit think only 4 songs across all 3 albums will be in heavy rotation.

Tbf I don't hear much in rotation around for GNX anymore either, I'm only outside outside like that in more rock and metal crowds though so I'm not the best anecdote.

People don't talk about NLU in relation to GNX that much after its immediately release. GNX was also fun but it depends on how much you like the west coast stuff.

Not like us isn’t on GNX so idk why you bringing it up. GNX had a bigger hit then anything on iceman will do. Iceman is dropping from #1 after next week. Luther was #1 for 13 weeks. And it literally won record of the year at the Grammys. Lmfao

I like GNX a lot, especially when it first dropped, but I really did not expect Luther to get as big as it did. I thought it was one of the weaker ones on my first listen lmao
