May 31, 2026 at 3:20 AM The doorbell thing it kinda depends. If I expect someone (like a package or a person) I obviously do but when it randomly rings for example at night I never open it. If it's someone close they will always app or call me before, or when they are at the door. So I can understand that lmao I love races but I mostly have my music on anyway. I have to say though when it's not going that well it really helps me that people are cheering on the side of the road with a race. Don't mind that. I mostly do either 5/6 km or 10/12. With the former I try to get a good result (time) and 10/12 is just for fun and to run a bit slower. I run mostly 3 times a week, 2 times fast and one a longer distance. And football of course but the season ends now till september. Last race I did was 2 weeks ago 5km in 20 minutes. What distance do you run? Lmaoo how ironic is that. Reading a book is bad... now in 2026 every kid is on their f---ing phone 24/7. People are so 'connected' but never been more alone. I truly hate social media, attention whores (both men and women who call themselves 'influencers'). Most useless people in the existance of the world lol
May 31, 2026 at 4:09 PM That's an impressive 5k time! Is that a PR? 10k is the perfect distance for a race. And yes it's nice to get encouragement especially in the final stretches of long races, it really helps with that final push. Courseside crowds are fine, it's other runners that irritate me because I usually get stuck in the middle with everyone and sometimes lose a shoe when someone who wants to pass me is too close. Trail courses are harder but so much less crowded. But road races are fun for other reasons! I have never been fast, though I've done all distances up to a full - I've done 3 marathons and a s--- ton of halfs. My fastest half was like 2h29min, lol. I started running after I got sober in 2011 and just felt lucky to be able to go the distance at all. I miss racing. I love a finishers medal! It's been a while.
