    @AOTWClub

    The album starts off strong with Jessie Ware, an artist I discovered recently thanks in large part to this thread. It's one of the better songs off the album, though I still prefer her first record.

    ‘’Twist the Knife’’ caught me off guard and is surprisingly good. The only Rebecca Black song I knew before this was ‘’Friday.’’ I actually went back and listened to it after hearing this track, and it's hilarious. I can see why it became meme. That said, ‘’Twist the Knife’’ is very different. I dig this song.

    ‘’Secrets’’ is a song I enjoyed very much. It's smooth. 2:30 I like how the song fades and comes back. Small production details like that can really elevate a track.

    ‘’Sexy villain’’ is a laid back and enjoyable song.

    "Idk Idk" and "Do Ya?" are where the tape starts to dip in quality a bit for me. I wasn't really feeling either of those.

    ''Evil'' is solid. I always enjoy an uptempo track. I know it's a recurring theme for me when it comes to pop music, but I just don't care for slow, piano driven ballads. The beat is important to me, and this one delivers.

    "Wichita Blues" and ''Laced Up'' aren't my favorite, but are decent entries overall.

    Best of Ya, I dig it. It has a nice, familiar feel to it.

    Tiffany Day's "Break Up" is dope. Again, a hard hitting beat goes a long way with me. This one is an absolute b-----r.

    Prima Donna, another solid track

    The overall mixtape vibe shifts slightly starting at track 13 through to the end and I dig the transition.

    ''Days of thunder'' has a strong 80s synth vibe.

    "I Like the Way You Kiss Me" is a solid song.

    "Empathy" has some cool production elements. Even though the main loop is a bit repetitive, it's perfect headphone music when you're busy doing other s---, it seamlessly melts into the background and just enhances everything.

    "Dancing While the World Burns": Ends the tape nicely.

    Overall, I enjoyed my time with this tape and will be keeping a good chunk of these songs in rotation.

    8.5
