I like the odd action movie too. Sci-fi, crime and Horrors are my go to....

Yeah those can be cool too. I guess I’ve just never been a big movie watcher tbh. I’ve always watched shows more than movies

See I'm the opposite, more into movies than series. It's got to really draw me in if it's a series for me to give it my time. Series like Fallout and From though >>>>

    Have you checked out From???

Now that from is near the end of this current season I'm gonna start watching. If I'm into a show i like to binge watch rather than watch an episode once per week.

Nah I haven’t checked out From, I’ve heard of it though. I gotta check that out sometime. Fallout is great, can’t wait for season 3

Right now Project Hail Mary is my favorite movie of the year and will probably stay that way till Spiderman and Avengers doomsday. I don’t really care for horror movies. That’s why I don’t care for backrooms.

I also think the reason movies are doing better this year then since pre-pandemic is becuase life sucks in literally all fronts, and the public needs escapism more then ever. The constant politics, nonsense and dread of daily life now is so high that it’s harkening back to the early 2000’s when 9/11 happen and the wepons of mass destruction and oil wars were all over the news, and coincidentally pop culture was blooming again. Same as the recession in 2008-2009 and yet those were the biggest box office years of the 2000’s with transformers, Fast and furious, Avatar being the biggest movie of all time and MCU blowing up. It’s a cycle. Remember Trump first getting office and 2016 was the most popular year for Gen Z. Or even right when the pandemic lifted and summer 2022 was another major year for media and culture. I notice this pattern. The public wants entertainment while the world is further going to trash.
