Jun 11, 2026 at 6:24 PM Sooooo stressed when busy. I still really miss having a booze/pill pressure valve when I'm amped up all the time. Stress is such a lifeforce sucking vampire. Pressure is always there for me, like a tax. A life/PITA experience tax... every part of my day brings some amount of stress in; I've gotten brutal about establishing limits, and enforcing them, to try to help myself in advance as much as I can. Figuring out how to minimize my response to it and then handle it is an ongoing process for me... talking helps a lot, just venting. Working out helps a lot too, something hard cardio. I go underground when I need to. The ranting isn't much fun for whoever has to listen to it but it's definitely my number one decompression tool. I need an ear.
Jun 11, 2026 at 7:06 PM Oh man I didn't know how badly stress affects the body since I used to try to ignore pretty much everything but yh now I know, so I definitely understand where you're coming from in that regard. It seems like you have plans in place to combat it though so props for doing that. I tend to let things boil up and then it becomes too much to deal with as of late. I guess it helps you when working from home too then right?
Jun 11, 2026 at 7:49 PM Definitely helps that I work from home, absolutely. I'm a hermit, though, the isolation might have the opposite effect on someone more sociable but it works for me. Yeah the safeguards are in place as defensive measures, you know? It's honestly a matter of survival. Otherwise I'm likely to cave in and use, and I'd rather be done with the h--- that went with that. It's awful, that feeling when you're getting plowed under. Sounds like you're doing everything right, @BIGFOOT but I know exhaustion and emotional depletion are real. Hang in there, my friend.

Jun 11, 2026 at 11:13 PM I stole it off Reddit, I feel sorry for the poor soul who actually got that. Ironically anytime I’ve gotten that same item from McDonald’s they barely put any ketchup on it so it ends up dry as h--- lol All the grease is good for you, keeps your tubes and holes lubricated
