I seen this YouTube video of a A&R that worked for shady that said emimem tried signing kid kudi right after day n night came out but Kanye got him first. And that Kendrick lamar, j.cole, clipse, juelz santana and pit bull were considered to be signed at one point . I know early on eminem also wanted to sign red man man and brother lynch. But then eminem signed people like Bobby creek & EZ miller... like wtf was that about? I know b.o.b. had a distribution deal with shady records for i think one album.
Jun 26, 2026 at 8:49 PM I bet Ez Mil's issues with not dropping is more due to Interscope than Shady Records. Everyone seems to forget it was a joint signing...the first since 50 Cent. Interscope shelving someone who has no marketability and will likely lose them money. It's crazy he even got that deal in the first place.
